How do you say hello in Darija?
Hello is Salam in Darija, or more casually Ahlan. To ask how someone is doing, you say Labas?, with Bikhir, L7amdullah (good, thank God) as the usual reply. To say goodbye, you say Beslama. The 7 in words like L7amdullah isn't a typo: it's a sign for an Arabic guttural sound English doesn't have.

Ahlan
